On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Our Little Hero COP organization, we are sincerely appreciative of your contribution to the 2007 Buddy Walk. We thank you and are grateful for your efforts in helping to promote understanding and awareness of individuals with Down syndrome in our community. 2007 marked an extraordinary year in the Buddy Walk. There were over 270 communities with local Walks across the country and around the world.

Your contribution, is instrumental in supporting the education, research and advocacy initiatives of the Our Little Hero COP and National Down Syndrome Society. Our focus for 2008 is on the following:

• Bring together key players in the Down syndrome research field and deliver critical milestones which will lead to increased public and private funding and improved research results.
  
  
• Advocate for improved policies, funding and protection of the rights of individuals with Down syndrome across the lifespan as determined by the National Government Affairs Committee.
  
  
• Serve as a national professional leader and advocate in education opportunities for people with Down syndrome, with emphasis On postsecondary education, early childhood inclusion, IDEA and No Child Left Behind.
  
  
• Provide informational leadership to families, affiliates, self-advocates, professionals and the public, with a focus on best practices and awareness.

Buddy Walk Sponsor helps fund efforts to provide vital medical and developmental research, education and inclusion programs that will benefit all people with Down syndrome. Several levels of sponsorship are available.

Presenting Sponsor - $5,000

A gift at this level provides:

• Corporate Advertising and Promotional Materials
• Sponsor identification will appear in all print advertising for the Buddy Walk program
• Corporate recognition on all Buddy Walk promotional materials, media and event materials
• Pre-event publicity
• Sponsor identification on all t-shirts.
• On-Site Signage and Recognition.
• Sponsor recognition will appear on Buddy Walk sponsor signs. In addition, sponsor - provided signage could be displayed.
• Sponsors will be recognized from the podium and any sponsor representatives will be introduced at the event.
• Recognition on our Buddy Walk Web site. The sponsor will be recognized on our home page, with brief editorial copy and hyperlink to the sponsor’s own Web site.
• Sponsor-provided promotional materials will be distributed to participants at the event.
